83 Reformation Study Bibles from Ligonier Ministries to ELI Asia!
It’s truly a blessed day when ELI Asia receives Reformation Study Bibles from Ligonier Ministries. 83 copies of the Reformation Study Bible Compact Edition were entrusted to us to be distributed to pastors and workers of the different campuses of ELI Asia. Praise the Lord!
We cannot even begin to describe how important this is to the work ELI Asia is doing here in the Philippines. These Bibles will become tools in teaching pastors and faculty how to be equipped biblically thus helping them to oversee and teach the local churches entrusted to them.
Evangelical Leadership Institute Asia seeks to enable Christian leaders to acquire theological and ministerial education equivalent to those offered in Bible colleges, without leaving their churches for a long time. The goal of the program is to train Christian leaders and workers for ministry, WHILE IN MINISTRY without having to leave their secular or full-time Christian vocations.
In the Philippines, especially in the provinces, so many churches have pastors and lay leaders who are tasked with the ministry work without proper biblical and theological training.ELI Asia partners with various local churches to provide these trainings and correct many erroneous teachings that have stemmed from the lack of biblical equipping and discipleship.
It is a challenge to provide theological training to those who are already in ministry. Most of these pastors and lay leaders lack the needed finances and resources necessary to study in a seminary.
We thank the Lord who causes all things to happen according to His sovereign will. We are grateful for the organizations, the sponsors, and the people He uses to accomplish His work here in the Philippines. Thank you Ligonier Ministries, we pray for God’s help not only in acquiring copies but distributing these Bibles to the pastors and leaders being developed for the local church of the various campuses of ELI Asia. May you be assured that they will get the training needed to use this valuable tool and by God’s grace, foster a greater understanding of God’s Word in them, enabling them to proclaim the gospel more boldly and effectively for the church and ministry.
