ELI Asia Newsletter 2023

God is good. God is faithful even when we’re not. God is sovereign in good and in bad.

ELI Asia as a teaching organization is never immune to trials and testing. The truth is that because of its desire to equip and teach local pastors and leaders to become biblically sound, its leaders and teaching faculty are often tested for their faithfulness to do the work entrusted to them by no less than God. God gives the desire to teach and this gives ELI Asia, a faculty composed of learned pastors who strive to endure and persevere to be able to teach the local church and various campuses.

As God gives the desire to teach, He alone also gives the desire to learn His ways as commanded in Scripture. This leads to students who step up to be equipped not for themselves but for the good of the local church where they serve. A church is strengthened when they are being taught how to worship God, when they are being shown how to understand Scripture, and when they are encouraged to study the right doctrine about God. It causes them to spur into action, understanding full well that people inside the church are not meant to become seat warmers, but are meant to grow in the knowledge of God so we can become Christlike and serve one another in love.

God gives us the desire to support the ministry. Do we pray to support the ministry of equipping pastors and lay leaders in the church? Or do we expect them to show up in church all-knowing and perfect?

Undershepherds must not stop learning. And what better way to support the work than to support an organization that teaches what is right? We should pray for the desire to support the work of developing leaders for the local church. In little ways and big ways, and in any way God shows us for the building of His kingdom.

God has only been good. Through the testing and trials ELI Asia has been through, God has only been faithful. In pruning and in harvest, He is sovereign.

To those who have the gift of teaching, learn more. To those who have learned, continue to learn more and commit to teaching those who need to learn.

To those who need to learn, pray for that desire to never go away. Find a godly teacher whose whole being never stops to keep learning the things of God, to be a faithful overseer of the flock.

To those who desire to support the ministry of teaching, pray for the Lord to sustain you so that you can continue to do so for as long as God enables you.

God bless you and keep you.

Are You Looking for Biblical Equipping?

Evangelical Leadership Institute Asia seeks to enable Christian leaders to acquire theological and ministerial education equivalent to those offered in Bible colleges, without leaving their churches for a long time. The goal of the program is to train Christian leaders and workers for ministry, while in ministry without having to leave their secular or full-time Christian vocations.

The ELI Asia Leadership Programs are designed in such a way that face-to-face lectures and classroom discussions, and independent readings and research are integrated. If your church is seeking to equip your pastors and lay leaders biblically, you may prayerfully consider partnering with ELI Asia. You may reach us through e-mail at trainingministers@gmail.com

Our ministry of providing affordable ministerial and theological training to pastors and lay leaders is made possible by the financial support of individuals and churches. Every seed that is sown is used to fulfill our mission of equipping leaders for effective church ministry.
